the opposite of what they should be listening to. Rush and Bruce Springsteen are two good examples. Seriously guys, did you ever listen to the lyrics at all?

From Rush, "The Trees", "Closer To The Heart" and "Free Will" to name just a few. Those might not all mean anything to most people but any hard core Rush fan knows them. I look at my buddy that loves Rush and am in awe that none of that sunk in. Especially since he was growing up listening to them.

For Springsteen there are too many to even begin to list. This guy, like Chris Christie, should really be banned from owning any Bruce cd's or ever setting foot in a concert.

...or it used to be was Martina McBride's 'Independence Day'. Let freedom ring.

A song about a woman who gained her independence from a man by burning down the house while he slept.

How does someone like him pick a theme song with a topic like that?

"Born in the USA" had plenty of misinterpreters: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Born_in_the_U.S.A._%28song%29

Ryan is latest in a long line of creepy politicians looking to gain street cred by attempting to align themselves with a cool band. It's always gratifying to see the band step up and tell them to STFU.

Limbaugh uses The Boss on his show, and the irony is painful.

The band Heart immediately let her know that was not okay.

The McCain/Palin group also tried to use John Melloncamp's "Pink Houses" and "Our Country". John Melloncamp was not pleased and he told them to stop.

and to the point.

He's no slouch, Harvard educated and could hold his own against Mittwit and Co, anytime.

Ryan doesn't understand the words of RATM. What a dope
