(86,638 posts)I'll keep searching until I hear the whole thing. I was just coming to voting age as this was all taking place. I lived in the northeast and participated in numerous demonstrations and marches during those years. It's interesting to revisit the evidence that we knew then and pieced together with the hidden, until now, rest of the evidence. It is especially prescient right now that we revisit that situation with the whole story at hand.

(6,137 posts)Im confident we will see gop movement towards pence and pressure on trump to resign with thei deal that pence will pardon trump and his family. Although trump may also isssue blanket pardon for his family. Trump has the ability to transfer his base to pence. We may be screwed when that happens.

(15,286 posts)Agnew's troubles sort of got subsumed by the focus on Nixon and Watergate, but hearing his story told, well, he's a lot like the kind of Republican we have today.

Lots of Americans think the time we are living in, is unique to America, but it's not really all that different from the decade between late 1960s to the mid-1970s.

(11,566 posts)The typical Republican petty and/or scorched-earth approach has worn thin. How much better off our country would be if more of them followed George Conway's example.
