“This Trump shutdown, this temper tantrum that he seems to throw will not get him his wall and it’ll hurt a lot of people because he will cause a shutdown. He admitted he wanted a shutdown, it's hard to believe that he would want that,” @SenSchumer says. http://cnn.it/2rwsqG7

1) The blue wave happened because voters want a hard check on Trump. Bringing the fight to him on camera shows that Democrats are ready to go to the mat to protect the country.

2) Democrats can no longer play into the RW narrative that they are "out of touch" by pretending to be above it all. "Well I never!" is not an acceptable strategy when you are facing an existential threat like Trump. Pelosi and Schumer showed that they are more than capable of beating this jackal at his own game. They made a fool of him on camera.

Nancy Pelosi stressed that with the Republican majorities for now, Trump does not need a single Democratic vote. Trump is still hell bent on blaming them all the same to score political points with his dwindling base. Fear mongering was mentioned by both Pelosi and Schumer as a motivator by Trump.

I somehow can't picture OrangeTurd praying.

I also give Nancy Peolosi kudos for delivering the line about asking Trump to pray with a straight face. I don't think I could.

My take is that Dotard thought bringing the press in and bloviating publicly would pressure Pelosi and Schumer into making an agreement on camera.

He failed. Miserably. They showed the world they are true leaders.
