I participate on a knitting site that usually doesn't get into discussions about politics - but lately, it seems many posters there can't help but opine on current political events.

Most posters seem to be older, white women - and Trump-humpers abound.

They usually defend Spanky on every issue - until he refused to attend ceremonies for vets in France, and then at Arlington.

Suddenly, the gloves came off - or should I say those sharp knitting needles were unsheathed. In spite of everything the Dotard has done, it was THIS issue that hit home. Only two Trump-humpers even tried to defend him - and they were quickly pounced on by posters who usually defend his every move.

Ya never know. I thought kids locked in cages might be the last straw for many - but it was Spanky's disrespect for the military that got even the knit-and-purl crowd in an uproar.
