NV becomes first state with majority female legislators!

Ok, technically because two women were appointed to vacated state assembly seats and we only have 63 total legislators...but still !

https://thenevadaindependent.com/article/nevada-becomes-first-state-with-majority-female-legislature/

Nevada will become the first state in the country to have a majority female Legislature after members of the Clark County Commission appointed two women to a pair of open seats in the Assembly.

County commissioners on Tuesday appointed Rochelle Nguyen to replace former Assemblyman Chris Brooks, appointed to the state Senate last month, and Culinary Union grievance specialist Beatrice Angela Duran to replace Assemblywoman Olivia Diaz, who resigned earlier this month and will run for a Las Vegas City Council seat.

With the appointments, female lawmakers will take 23 of 42 seats in the state Assembly and nine of 21 spots in the state Senate, good for 32 out of the 63 seats in the Legislature.

Women are the majority of Americans. It makes sense for them to be adequately represented.

That would be interesting to know. Republican women seem to often be the enemy of their own sex.

The legislative website isn't completely up to date since it is still showing the seats as vacant, but it looks like out of the 23 women in the assembly, only 5 are republican. And just one republican out of the 9 women in the senate.

(The NV legislature session begins in February.)

Lysistrata is a play about women running things. I've been in discussions about this before. Let them give it a try, hell...maybe they will stop all wars. Could they do worse then the men? We already know that Hillary would be so much better than Drump, but let's give the women a chance to run everything..

Hey this is what all those hours of Campaign Volunteering is all about. Was hoping to meet most of our Candidates, there was not enough hours in the day during the Campaign . Best results of all the States in the Union.

Ladies, make it happen, way past time for change, just do it. Let's never go back to the days of the Rethugs and their pathetic Tea Party.
