General Discussion

Indeed, the Trump campaign was negotiating with Russia to build a Trump Tower in Moscow during the campaign but Donald Trump stopped the negotiations in January of 2016, we were told.
Then, we were told by Michael Cohen that the discussions for a Trump Tower in Moscow were still going on into June of 2016. The "wheeling and dealing" had not stopped as they had suggested.
Then, over the weekend, Rudy Giuliani, Trump's blowhard, said that the discussions were going on into November of 2016, the month the people were voting for President of the United States. The timeline had moved dramatically. Giuliani wanted to leave the impression that the deal-making had stopped once the election was over. But, was it?
Michael Flynn was making deals with Russia and Turkey, even before they were sworn into office in January of 2017. That was when he was busted by the FBI. And when he lied about it.
There is no reason to believe that the "wheeling and dealing" ever stopped. The recent embrace of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, even after the gruesome murder, may indicate a "deal" going on at present between Trump and the Saudis.
The important point is that our national defense within our foreign policy is no longer the major concern of our leaders. It appears that making money is more important? There should be little doubt but that the present leaders in Washington are a threat to our national security.

I am shocked down to my socks that there are no crowds in the streets. There seems to be no citizen outcry.
I guess the peeps are too busy getting their Christmas on. Maybe next year? The frogs are about cooked IMHO.

I suspect that Mueller suggested a light sentence, or no jail time, to lull 45 into a false sense of security about what Flynn had already testified to and to keep 45 from dangling a pardon in font of Flynn that might have caused him to clam-up. NOW Flynn will have to open up a little more to get any leniency. Good cop- BAD Cop indeed.

No prosecutor can guarantee how a judge might rule, although most judges tend to go along with any federal suggestions.
This has not yet happened with Judge Sullivan.
There is still hope for our Judiciary.
