It was only a few months ago the NY Times published an anonymous OP Ed from a suppossed senior

official in the Trump administration stating how a group of them were going to prevent an unhinged President from going off the rails.

The people we trusted to take care of us are standing on the sidelines shaking their heads and wringing their hands. How can an idiot bring us to the brink? Perhaps we are not as great as we thought we were. Defeated by stupidity and greed.
