Congress gone, Gov't shut down, Whitaker in place: time for Mueller probe to end.

Stop looking at Putin's Xmas presents. Trump is ready to shut down Mueller probe. It's the only thing he needs to save his hide.

There are at least 17 interrelated investigations in various stages of development. Some of these are State investigations that Trump cannot affect. Many of the Federal investigations have already obtained pleas and/or convictions. Additionally, once it's in the courts, I don't think it can be stopped by Trump.

Let's wait for the new Congress to start its investigations.

Trump is cornered. It's just a matter of time...

Ending the Mueller probe, with Democrats about to take the house, would be disastrous for Trump. It is not a good option for Trump. At all. I don't think people have thought through the ramifications if Trump did this. It's actually a less savory option today than it would have been on day one.
