Because what you say is true - everything they didn't get, they could have gotten and can get with Pence as President. Therefore, its logical to conclude that its not the fear of or support of "his base" that is keeping him there. Who knows, but at this point, if they(GOP) don't start jumping ship in droves, I might conclude something weird is going on.
