Something I won't hear from my Trump relatives this Christmas, "how's your 401k?"

Last Christmas, as Donald the Scumbag was finishing his first year in office, I had to listen to some of my cousins and their husbands at our family Christmas party give me the line "you might not like Trump too much, but I bet you like your 401k and what Trump did to improve it."

For the record, I really have a union annuity with a few hundred thousand in it after a lifetime of work. I tried to explain to them that the economy in the first year of the first term of a new president has more to do with the previous president than the current one, it didn't matter. It fell on deaf ears.

Now, I get to see the same assholes again this year. I'm betting that no one asks that question of me this year. "How's your 401k" is not quite the ice breaker for Trump fans in 2018 as it was in 2017.

about the stock market, took ownership, of course.

And we should run it at every news cycle that reports about the tanking market.

of his approval is tied to the economy.

I could dee him going below 30% if we fall into a recession.

I'll get some bullshit how they diversified into bonds or real estate.

The worst thing about Trump supporters is they challenge every well established fact, but ask us to try to prove their lie is a lie.

I only have to see them once a year. My 89 year old Mother (their aunt) is the big hit. I can't avoid the two hour get together. But I dread it every year, especially since 2008 when it turned out to be a racist coming out party over Obama.
