(8,445 posts)For $25M. Perhaps the same friend who started up a business as an event planner right before -45's inauguration and collected $25M.
Seriously, how is that a "design"?

(19,201 posts)But I don't suppose Donald thought about that. Someone should tell him. It'll destroy his two week golfing vacation at Mar-ma-lado.

During the Cold War there was a section of the Berlin Wall in the French sector where the commies had:
1. Poured wet concrete across the top of the wall.
2. Dumped broken up glass shards from bottles and containers into the wet concrete and let it harden.
That way if somebody tried to jump up and go over the top their hands would be shredded by the glass.
Maybe Vlad has been telling Donny how to do it.
ETA: A few tricks like that and you don't need as many border guards patrolling the entire length of the wall. Something tells me that *may* be part of what is driving El Cheapo's wall campaign: he'd like to lay off some border guards and do border security on the cheap without paying so many salaries. I wonder if he's considered a mine field?

(11,949 posts)It was impressive. 50 feet tall and even wider.
Then I looked north towards Mongolia, where they feared invaders would come from. What do you see?
A huge assed mountain range. And I realized if an army on horseback could make it over that mountain range, the wall I was standing on would be seen as an easy day at work.
Come to find out, the building of the wall was way more political than truly defensive. The irony is inescapable.
And FYI. The mongals took and ruled China for 200 years.
