Certain quite a few of those episodes were based off of short stories?

I think The Planet Of The Apes was a Serling episode that turned into the movie we all know?

That is a point that Phillip Jose Farmer once made. He wrote a story about a western travelling huckster that revived corpses. A Serling story later appeared on The G Twilight Zone. The author attribution to the story is very odd. Donald Trump level odd.
