...it sets a precedent for a generation.

It's one thing to go nuclear for appointments but the budget needs 60 votes.

Make Trump accept the original CR or nothing. Why should we care if his base gets mad at him for it? It’ll just make 2020 easier. Throwing him any kind of lifeline now will only legitimize him.

There is no legitimate reason for the American taxpayer to pay for Trump's wall.

It is Mexico's obligation according to Trump... 100%

Trump and his GOP falsely blame democrats but the republicans have the power to pass Donald's $5billion in the Senate.

It is their choice to refuse to use that power.

Donald's idea to go Nuclear 11 days before Nancy Pelosi becomes speaker to get $5 billion dollar concession isn't McConnell's idea of strategy. The senate map in 2020 is not the senate map of 2018 and if Trump continues his slide into unpopularity McConnell faces the real probability that there is a democratic house, senate, and presidency with the filibuster no longer intact. Frankly I'd be ok if they pull this now. It is going all in on a 2/7 off suit with face cards showing. Medicare for all would be easy peasy without the need of 60 votes.
