Considering where the Republican party has gone, I guess he is a moderate. But he's still pretty far right in my opinion.

He runs on pro life and said up front he would sign the D&E bill but not the heartbeat bill. I don't respect that he feels it his duty to force his religious views upon anyone else by matter of law.

To run for President. Not buying his act.

Kasich gutted Education t feed his friends charter schools. So many scandals the Republican Legislature put the money back in on his last budget.

Is not a moderate and we are in for worse with Mike DeWine. The little runt with 8 kids will love telling women what to do.

He will also sign a right to work law that Republicans want. They knew Kasich would not sign it after the thrashing we gav3 nom over trying to killl public unions.

The Republican agenda to deprive women of he right to control their own bodies and make their own medical decisions without political interference is the worst.

That may be the case for some. I believe most vote what they think their constituents want. After all, its a cushy job with prestige, sometimes a salary, sometimes even benefits. Better to be reelected than to make things better.

To add state constitutional amendments to protect reproductive rights. I think if put to a vote, these referendums would pass in many states. This would also protect against state legislators who want to encroach upon this right one small law at a time.

I'm sure many southern states may not be able to pass these referendums. But you never know what will happen if you put it to a vote.

And I would say these states who want to severely restrict reproductive rights do so at their own economic risk. Companies like Amazon who are looking for young talent, know that they won't attract people to move to such backwards places.

and Kasich has been horrible for women in Ohio. He does have a very good PR team, he is perceived as moderate and logical. Even tho he lost his cool on a police officer who pulled him over years ago (you can find that on youtube). I believe THAT is the real John Kasich, the moderate JK is just a polished turd.

In '70 some friends and I chipped in so that another friend could get a greyhound to NYC for an abortion. Chicago to this day is a catholic town, and this was before Roe v. Wade and thus it was not legal nation-wide nor was it legal in Chicago.

Never again. On almost every Jan. 22nd "March for life" protest I'm on the Embarcadero with the Raging Grannies, Code Pink, and all the other freedom- and diversity-oriented peeps screaming at them.
