Will Mueller be fired before Democrats return in January?

Although it is being reported on a couple of outlets that Mueller may file his report sometime in February, will Trump wait that long? Would Trump order Whitaker to close down the investigation and demand the resignation of Mueller?

This seems to be a very precarious time? If Trump planned on getting rid of Mueller, this would be the time to do it, while the Congress is on their Christmas leave.

One man is systematically tearing down our country and our institutions. Who would have guessed?

We have a means for dealing with a corrupt president: Congress.
It’s just that the GOP is owned by billionaires who are trying to use the president to accomplish their own goals: destroy government to cut taxes on the rich.

5. Can he keep the New Dem House from operating by keeping the shut down in place?

Is this his way of knee capping the Dem Majority?

Curious how this will work.
Cuz he's not giving in to that kind of power.

Am just wondering if the shut down would have any effect on the operation of the House Dem Majority in Jan..

And if so, what might it be.

Just asking.
Thanks

The Senate has already show they will continue to fund. I don’t see Trump vetoing something passed by two chambers headed up by different parties.

7. No. Trump doesn't benefit from firing Mueller.

At this point in time I don’t think it is as significant as some. The blowback from firing Mueller would be huge and his information would still come out. If the reports about his report are accurate, his investigation, for the most part, is just about complete. It probably only leaves an attempt to interview a couple of more people that are difficult to interview and coordination the desiminstion of a lot of information to state agencies.

Mueller won’t be fired. If he is, it’s still a huge positive.

12. Why should we believe any reports based on anonymous sources identified only

as being in the Trump administration or among the defense attorneys?

The same sources have reported at least half a dozen times since he began that Mueller was about to finish. They do this to make the public impatient with the pace of the investigation, IMHO.

But the actual article had multiple disclaimers about the timeline, if read carefully.

I don’t think we should operate as if it’s accurate. I don’t think it should pose any significance on how we operate at all.

“If” is an important word in my sentence above.

14. Yes. Trump will do it by tweet
Sat Dec 22, 2018, 06:12 PM
Dec 2018

He has been purging everyone who advised him otherwise. He wants it done, and if no one will do it for him, he will just do it himself with no thought to consequences.

Within the next two weeks I can see him announcing in an early morning tweet that the witch hunt is over because he has fired Mueller. He will feel a temporary rush of unfettered power and invincibility, but it will be immediate political suicide. That action will release the kraken and he will feel wrath like he has never felt before.

There is no one left to tell him no. He's a narcissist. He's stupid. And he's going to do it before the end of this year.
