You then press "Ctl" and the "C" button on your computer, copying the link.

When you are ready to insert it into your post, you then press "Ctl" and the letter "V" to paste the link into your post.

Aug 2012

are and why they are so secretive about them? They should not talk to them about anything else without first insisting that if they expect their claims of bi-partisanship to be taken seriously, they must reveal their donors.

Since June they have apparently received over one million dollars. They are clearly just a fake front for funneling money to be used in anti-Obama ads and will most likely disappear after the election.

CNN's job is not try to look into crystal balls and stand idly by after making uninformed predictions. They claim to be a news organization.

Who are the funders of Opsec, and why are they afraid to reveal this information?

We're wise to this dirty trick. The Romney supporters will suck it up of course. Maybe a small percent of the so-called independents might be swayed. But the majority of Americans can still smell the stench of the last Swiftboating, and this effort by Team Romney is just going to make people despise him more.

Who/What are those guys ______ to get into the news?

http://www.lightningsafety.com/nlsi_pls/probability.html

Lightning Strike Probabilities

1. ASSUME -

4 CG flashes/km2/yr/average

House is 10 X 20 m2 = 200 m2

Direct strike to house when lightning hits within 10 m

Predicted strike (1200 X4)/1 000 000 =

4.8 X 10 -3 or once ea. 200 years

Therefore - 1 out of 200 house will be struck per year.

2. ASSUME -

USA population = 280,000,000

1000 lightning victims/year/average

Odds = 1 : 280,000 of being struck by lightning

With 90% dropout rate and 30 months of intensive training if you are accepted, it is unlikely that he would retire at 40. The pre Gulf War period would put him in Panama, Grenada or some other Television war from the 80s.

Personally I think these guys are bullshitting. They publish their qualifications but won't identify their members or their backers. But you can't hide for long. Wiki already has their profile.

"OPSEC's president is Scott Taylor, a former Navy SEAL who ran for but failed to win the Republican nomination for a Virginia congressional seat in 2010.[4] Its spokesperson is Chad Kolton, who worked for the Bush administration as a spokesperson for the Director of National Intelligence,[3] and who was hired to perform media relations for OPSEC in July 2012 through HDMK, a Republican strategic communications firm."

Apparently either Taylor or Kolton or both are grads of the Leadership Institute who's alumni include James O Keefe, Karl Rove, Ralph Reed, Jeff Gannon, Senator Mitch McConnel, Congressman Mike Pense as well as 12 other new Republican members of Congress who we can assume are Teabaggers.

So non partisan? Fuck the hell off. Liars? Well look who they hang with. Gannon and OKeefe are proven liars. OKeefe should be in jail for criminal staiking against Sen. Mary Landrieu.

I am loathe to hate anyone but I truly hate this bunch of criminals. They are destroying America from top to bottom.

Mon Aug 20, 2012, 01:53 AM

It is not only partisan but run by Scot Taylor who is better known as a failed Republican candidate for congress. To say OpSec is non partisan is such a fatuous lie that it is hard to believe anyone would try to pass it off as true. Taylor is a grad of the Leadership Institute, an organization that has produced an impressive collection of public liars who happen to be prominent Republicans

"OPSEC's president is Scott Taylor, a former Navy SEAL who ran for but failed to win the Republican nomination for a Virginia congressional seat in 2010. Its spokesperson is Chad Kolton, who worked for the Bush administration as a spokesperson for the Director of National Intelligence, and who was hired to perform media relations for OPSEC in July 2012 through HDMK, a Republican strategic communications firm."

see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Leadership_Institute.

I erred in saying that Taylor left the military in 1990. A minor point given his present agenda and the company he keeps now.
