Alec Guinness: The Bridge on the River Kwai and the GOP (spoilers)

Right before it all blows up he realizes he helped the Japanese and completely betrayed his country.

"What have I done?"

Wonder if any GOP pol will come to that realization?

about American democracy. They have turned their backs on truth, integrity, and honor. And they've submissively allied themselves with a freaking five-time draft-dodging casino hustler with a long track record of lies and cheating, and deep deep debt to the freaking evil empire*

We shall see in the coming months. I suspect that there will be a flurry of activity, the likes of which we have never seen, within the realm of Congressional and legal matters regarding our executive branch during the first three months of the new year. Those who are not completely owned may shake loose from the crowd who are in on the coup during that time.
