The U.S. issues travel advisory to the Philippines

The U.S. is warning travelers to the Philippines to be careful.

The Department of Homeland Security issued a travel advisory Tuesday to the Republic of the Philippines due to flight security issues at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The airport, which serves the capital city of Manila and surrounding areas, is the main international gateway for travelers to the Southeast Asian country.

The airport “does not maintain and carry out effective security consistent with the security standards established by the International Civil Aviation Organization,” Homeland Security stated in a release. “This determination was based on assessments by a team of security experts from the Transportation Security Administration.”

Gee, I hope this doesn't augur a rift between these two crazy kids. We all know how much Trump loves him some homicidal authoritarianism.
