Two years out of office, Americans still admire Barack and Michelle Obama above all others

For the eleventh year in a row, former President Barack Obama has been voted America’s Most Admired Man in Gallup’s annual poll, and for the first time ever, former First Lady Michelle Obama has taken the top spot, ending Hillary Clinton’s remarkable 17-year run.

It’s no surprise, of course: People LOVE the Obamas. Full stop. Whether it’s starstruck children or elderly ladies, heads of state or people in need, there’s just something so real, so genuine, and just … wonderful about the 44th U.S. president and first lady. Even their love for each other seems perfect.

The Obamas just seem like people you wouldn’t be afraid to let near your children, if you just randomly had the chance to have a former POTUS and FLOTUS watch your kids.
