The Syrian war has always been about gas pipelines.

The EU wants natural gas and there is gas in Iran, Syria, and Qatar, a lot of gas. The fight is over who will be the major investor/operator. This is why Putin has befriended Assad, the pipelines go through Syria on its way to the EU. There is the Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline that Putin has proposed to have Gazprom develop. Saudi Arabia and Israel are having fits over this Shi'ite backed proposal.

Qatar has a lot of natural gas and wants to run a pipeline through Syria, it wants to supply the EU. Assad has refused to allow Qatar to build the pipeline across Syria.

Also, a lot of gas has been discovered near Homs in Syria. Gazprom/Putin/Russia wants to be the developer/operator.

The Sunnis want to ship the gas across Syria through Turkey, if I remember right, but Assad is refusing permission and Putin is backing up Assad.

When there is a war it is usually about money, and the Syrian "civil war" is no different.

This is why Trump is pulling our troops out of Syria. He is giving Putin the go ahead to build gas pipelines and supply the EU.

The US has been on the side of the Sunnis, that is why we have pushed to oust Assad.

And cut a deal for state subsidizes Tesla cars and trucks and be done with this nonsense. If the Middle East wants 'modernize', they can get there of their own volition without outside interference.

FROM THE FILM SYRIANA:

"I think a hundred years ago, you guys were running around the desert cutting each other's heads off, and in another hundred years, you'll be back to doing the same thing. And in the intervening span of time, you will have wasted the greatest natural resource the planet has ever seen.'

of misinformation, conspiracy theory, and pseudo-left nonsense. In particular, it's from 2014 and pins an escalation of the Syrian civil war on a "Kerry-Abdullah secret deal".

Why would you do that?

known for his association with Lyndon LaRouche and prolific contributions to GR, RT, Asia Times, New Eastern Outlook, the Voltaire Network, and Veterans Today. That's four Russian, one antisemitic, and one pseudo-left outlets, all of them conspiracy sites as well. Almost a bingo card.

He's also an ex-peak oiler, climate change denier or minimizer, and abiogenic oil believer, among others. Looking at his last year of publication, I see more conspiracy theories than I knew existed in the last ten years. Here's a good one:"RussiaGate, the Mueller Investigation and the Clinton Foundation". I wonder where he's going with that one.

Oh, the 2011 Egyptian Revolution was orchestrated by Obama. Didn't know that, and I suppose most Egyptians would be surprised as well.

Don't spread this shit. It's simply sanitizing and repurposing the same Russian shit in a slightly anti-Trump container.
