I grow bloodroot in the garden where I work. It is so delicate and pretty.

The Southeast has a wealth of native woodland plants. I love going on spring woodland walks. Many of the plants flower for such a brief time, so one must go out into the woods weekly in order to see everything!

Happy New Year! 🎆

of woodland flowers we'd find in central Appalch. as kids-- trillium, jack in the pulpit, mayflowers and occasionally delicate ladyslipper orchids. Real treasures.
