These are Avenatti faces superimposed onto classical paintings of Jesus. I can't tell you who the masters are, but these are medieval art images that have been hastily digitized by the photoshoppers. It's all kinda obvious, don't you think?

(32,680 posts)I'm no expert on art history, but I'll bet somebody on DU can tell us where the images originated. Could be these are evangelists (e.g. St. Mark or St. Luke) if not Jesus.

(5,770 posts)..... some time. They generally have a label identifying the saint, the specific benifits to be conferred, and a related prayer. The images incorporate the Saint's traditional attributes and colors and the wax color has some magical significance.
Some of them invoke folk saints, like Santa Muerte, Our Lady of Holy Death.
