for the shutdown. Distract and occupy the Congress with other matters, other than the Mueller investigation.

It's the plummeting stock market. It's the soybeans and other crops sitting rotting in silos because of his stupid, fucking tariffs. It's the complete disaster he has made of our healthcare system. It's all those op-eds from military bigwigs and others calling him the worst president ever. Etc. Everyone knows this complete, unmitigated mess is his doing, and he's trying to shift the blame and attention away from himself. He is an imbecile. (My apologies to actual imbeciles for the comparison.) He has no fucking idea what he is doing, yet he lives under the delusion that he's some kind of master deal maker. He doesn't realize that his schtick no longer works on anyone other than his cult followers. So, he's doing what he does best--distracting and deflecting.

this is his rather insane way of delaying Don Jr. indictment.

Mueller took a break from indictments during mid-terms and Individual 1 may be hoping he does the same now.

He's done this over and over again to distract, and to water down the bad publicity against him, and it lessons the impact.
