Articles of impeachment against Trump will be filed today by California Democrat

California Democrat Rep. Brad Sherman is expected to files articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump when Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) convenes the newly Democratic-dominated House on Thursday.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Sherman, who attempted to file the articles in 2017, will find a more receptive audience following the midterm elections that saw the Democrats take control of the House.

“Sherman’s articles of impeachment accuse Trump of obstructing justice by firing former FBI Director James B. Comey, among other wrongdoing,” reports the Times.

“There is no reason it shouldn’t be before the Congress,” Sherman said in an interview. “Every day, Donald Trump shows that leaving the White House would be good for our country.”

On Thursday morning, Pelosi refused to rule out impeachment proceedings.

We’re going to look like overreaching fools by doing this too soon. The time will come but it isn’t today.

If we wait for the Meuller report, assuming it shows damning information worthy of impeachment, that is the point where both recognize that Trump needs to be removed for the good of the country.

I understand it’s our wet dream to see 45 impeached and removed from office. However, I think the timing makes it look like we’re vengeful. Right now, we look like the reasonable party (...and we are!) and impeachment at this time looks unreasonable, absent some damning information which I don’t we have at the moment.

It didn’t go anywhere and there’s little reason to believe this time is any different.

Either Meuller has something or he doesn’t... until we find out, this is a waste of time.
