"Mimi" Pelosi with all those children made me tear right up.

This is bravery, leadership, work seen through the female eye. Not putting down, but lifting up. Looking to the future with strength and resolve. I’m proud to be a woman today, and to be America. ❤️

Women leaders seem to have more balanced priorities - more humanitarian and grounded (generalization, but my observation). Not only can we walk and chew gum at the same time..wonder why...but we seem to be more life-affirming and less apt to resort to violence to solve problems. Obviously, there is a range, but this is a generalized observation on my part.

Michael Steele just called her "formidable." Great adjective for her!

watching her stand there with the children, the actual future of our country, was extremely powerful. A visual representation of why things need to change.

Plus you have children of other members there.

I know the CSPAN camera had shown Eric Swalwell multiple times rocking one of his wee ones just born this year!

He seems to be one who could not only tap into and promote his midwest roots (despite being a representative in Northern CA), but his connections to the millennials, being that he is one) and up-and-coming Gen Zers.

He ranted on and on about how with women in office the 'hallowed halls of govt' would be filled with crying babies, running kids, and nobody could get anything done!

That rant was right up there with his advice to young conservative men. --Liberal girls with their loose morals are great to mess around with. But you want an upstanding moral conservative girl to be your wife and the mother of your children!9

This was a beautiful moment in our history!!!!! I cannot help but compare this image to the optics of Trump’s “briefling” today where he is flanked by Border Patrol personnel talking about his precious wall. The border patrol guys all had shaved heads and looked like tough mafia types.
These images and politics are polar offsides. This is why we need more and more women in leadership in our country.
