English teachers love & need metaphors.

I'm an English teacher, and think that our changing big culture also loves and needs such art that reflects the progress of our more perfect union.

This is, seriously, a great idea. Maybe DU can commission such a painting and present it at some appropriate People's Ceremony.

Maybe The People's Choice Awards For Good Governance can be such an event. Perhaps the Indivisibles can run it.

Two things he is not the least familiar with.

Let's not look for what wasn't there. There's plenty enough to criticize him for, but we look foolish when we try to find something devious and awful when it isn't there.

That's usually a tell but we'd have to know what she said. I could imagine she said something like I'm glad to be on board... then he says.. it's very humbling. In that case shaking his head could mean.. you shouldn't be or I'm not happy or he's just trying to find a way not to return the compliment.
