A Trump-supporting Federal Employee Friend is finally off the Trump Train.

I'll be fine for a few months, as I previously posted, because I'm a saver. I could also loan my way for a long time after that, though I doubt it gets that far.

I guess the thing that pisses me off is that every President has at least been decent to federal employees during a shutdown. Trump has just been hateful toward us from jump, for no reason. We are not Congress. We are not the swamp. We're just middle class people who pay taxes and are trying to make a living.

I am not only off the bandwagon, but I'm kind of looking forward to the Mueller Report and maybe a little jail time for the orange family in the future. What goes around comes around, motherfucker.

White, Male, Gun-owning, ex-military. Gleefully supported Trump. Like most Republicans, only when it personally affects them do they really start caring.

The fact that the GOP isn't standing up to Trump is leaving a very sour taste in his mouth.

I have seen cracks in his support before this - not sure if Pride was stopping him, but the shutdown is opening some eyes.

Every little bit helps.

Natural consequences works. With a percentage.

Once cognitive dissonance is penetrated, it can cause a wholesale re-evaluation in some cases.

In some cases, sadly ... we progress one funeral at a time.

Dump supporter who depends on a government paycheck, said those very words: "Now it's affecting me" as if he were proud and without a clue of his hypocrisy. They really do NOT care about anyone but themsleves.

Although like most republican until it affects them, they don't see the harm he is doing to this country and economy.

A lot of federal workers for lough should stop going to work. Once ppl see what impact these government jobs do actually, they will demand the government shutdown to be over.

employee, and you deserve to be treated with some respect. No one should be treated like this. I hope it won't be too much longer and that you will be made completely whole in the end. As a former federal employee, I've been there before, but I always knew that the situation would be resolved soon. I also knew that whomever the President was or the members of Congress, they were trying to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. That is not the case with this president who has no integrity; and cares only about one person, himself. Stay positive and I hope this is over soon.

Hooray for him, he doesn’t give a crap about what happens to anyone but himself.

Idiots of this sort have no capability for deep insight, which requires empathy.

Taking away their "Obamacare" was OK until they finally woke up and realized their ACA was Obamacare (duh)and their preexisting conditions are not cheap to finance without insurance. That is when they woke up and smelled the coffee and got pissed off. Now that their income is effected by the fucking moron they are pissed off... tough shit!
