Schumer jabs Trump: 'Enough with the memes'

BY AVERY ANAPOL - 01/06/19 08:05 AM EST

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer took a swipe at President Trump for posting “Game of Thrones” memes to promote his policies.

“Enough with the memes,” the New York Democrat tweeted in response to Trump sharing an image in the HBO show’s style that said: “The Wall is Coming.”

“Just quit hurting innocent people and re-open the government,” he added.

The image Trump shared comes as the partial government shutdown, which started after an impasse over Trump’s demand for $5 billion in funding for a border wall with Mexico, enters its third week.

The use of the meme was mocked on social media, with many pointing out that the wall in the hit show was destroyed in the latest season.

Those "steel slats" without cross-bars would act as a series of giant tuning forks when the first strong wind comes along.

The howling will be temporary though as the wall is dismantled every night for scrap metal.

So he's falling back to being a TV producer or real estate promoter. "Coming next spring: the greatest new series evah!". "Have I got a deal for you!!" "Hurry, hurry hurry, step right up! Come in a little closer, folks! Its the Greatest Show on Earth!"

Trump reportedly told aides to think of his presidency as a TV show where he 'vanquishes' rivals
Brennan Weiss Dec. 9, 2017, 1:36 PM

It's not news that President Donald Trump watches a lot of TV.

But in a report published Saturday, The New York Times revealed just how much cable news influences Trump's day-to-day schedule.

Before entering the White House, Trump reportedly told aides to think of each day as an episode in a TV show in which he "vanquishes rivals," according to the report.

Every morning, Trump reportedly tunes in to CNN for the news, then moves on to "Fox & Friends," and sometimes MSNBC's "Morning Joe." Trump spends at least 4 hours a day watching TV, and sometimes as many as 8 hours, while "marinating in the no-holds-barred wars of cable news and eager to fire back."

Always with the "tough guy" shit, even though he's the biggest goddamn coward on the planet. I still can't believe that there are millions of people out there who still don't see though his crappy act.
