<snip> (CNN) -- Poll of the week: A Gallup poll out this week finds that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a favorable rating of 38% and an unfavorable rating of 48%. That's bad enough for a net favorability rating of -10 points.
The same poll also showed that President Donald Trump's favorable rating is 40% to an unfavorable rating of 58%. That means his net favorability rating is -18 points.
What's the point: The leading figures in the US government right now are not popular. For the first time during Trump's presidency, though, Trump is more disliked than Pelosi.<snip>

(3,022 posts)it is significant because Congresspeople aren't popular except, they hope, with their constituents. Congress isn't popular and everyone knows the members of Congress are all crooks looking to bring unearned dollars into their districts, except one's own. Presidents are a more individual thing and can be beloved or, as donald shows, not.

(17,276 posts)That goes a long way with people. She also comes off as very sure of herself, something that will always inspire people to follow. An excellent quality for a leader to have.
Confidence, convictions, a steel spine, intelligence and well-honed political skill--what's not to like!
