Foxworld locked doors/fences rebuttal. Plus a funny.

Okay so this is the new talking point in RW world. "You lock your doors don't you?" "You have fences to keep people out right?". Of course this argument for WALL is stupid but it's effective, their believers can be scared literally by busloads of children so they put this issue into their front yards.

The disconnect is off the charts. Wasn't it just last week that THE OBAMA's ARE BUILDING A FENCE AT THEIR HOME!? Anyone, like Foxworld believers, who listens to any talk radio knows that SimpliSafe is a constant advertiser on Beck, Rush, Hannity, etc. Hey! It works. You've got a captive audience that will clearly believe anything the dashboard tells them and scares easier than cats.

What do SimpliSafe and Ring and Blink and probably ADT offer? Cameras.
Anyone can jump your fence and if they want to get into your house or apartment they are getting in. With a camera you have information and can act on it. Those monitoring these cameras can too. Also, much like the vast majority of those here "illegally" the crook has either been in your house or knows someone who has. Generally people break in when they know there is something there they want.

Cameras. Technology. It works which is why we do it. At the border and in our homes.

Okay so here's the funny (I hope) I swear if Fox News started saying that "illegals" have learned how to hack your garage door opener the gullible would start disabling them. That would be a great seed to plant or use on discussion boards and on social media. Trust me a Fox News link (which they won't read) will be enough for them to buy it.

They want to be here legally. They are trying to declare a request for asylum, which we are required to consider and process according to international laws we signed onto and which we hold other countries to.

But we are not letting them do that. Instead, we only consider a few requests per day at each port of entry along the southern border, forcing families to wait days or even months to be heard. They have no means of support while waiting. They get desperate and cross illegally to get away from the deplorable conditions they are forced by Trump to live in waiting to make their request. Their kids are being harmed by this illegal policy.

Even if we built a 2,000 mile wall, people would just climb over it in the remote areas. That is what is happening now. And in places like the canyons of Bid Bend, Texas, the wall is simply unbuildable.

What works is drone surveillance and heat sensors in remote areas, and hiring more and better trained border patrol officers (and giving them better pay so we get competent applicants). That doesn't require a wall at all, doesn't destroy the environment or harm wildlife, nor require inverse condemnation of vast swaths of private property, nor stand as an insulting edifice to our Latino neighbors. Democrats have no objection to such border security measures and have offered billions for such border security measures, but Trump refused because there was no specific funding for his stupid, unbuildable wall.

You describe it perfectly. I was just commenting on this new talking point and how immediately it spreads amongst their kind. It's truly amazing to watch.

Now they want a lock because that’s more effective than a wall? Or they want locks in the wall? Locks are put on doors and canals (and bagels) not walls.

What the hell does the existence of locks have anything to do with whether mexico should build us a wall using our tax dollars.

This is so stupid an argument for a wall

They didn’t shut down the government for border security or to prevent unauthorized immigration, they want money for a wall. Or maybe a fence

They want to claim democrats do not want border security which is a lie. They also know the “but there are walls in the world” argument sucks so they change the debate to something completely bogus.

Never debate on their framing.

Edit: stupid typos. Proof reading is a good idea
