In the mid1990's she flew in from Cali to take part in a fund raiser dinner, honoring the b'day of Rep. Patsy Mink's husband. Many of the event's attendees were union members from the various unions in Hawaii. Nancy addressed the crowd, excused herself, and then was off back to Cali on a red eye flight.
