I thought it strange he didn't go to Mar-A-Lago for the holidays considering he doesn't let any governmental consideration interfere with his love for golf and rubbing elbows with millionaires at the clubs.
Other possibilities might be that the SS has told him they can't guarantee his safety at some US locations, or that his doctors have discovered a problem with his health.....
If questioned, he would likely claim a flair-up of his bone spurs.....
He uses lies as a tool. He is cunning, deceptive, manipulative, ruthless, and amoral. He is also cowardly and without empathy of any kind. The reason he looks stupid is because he has been so detached for so long from the common world, is intellectually incurious, and narcissistically relies on his own imagined brilliance.
He thinks he is playing hardball to get his stupid wall. It's very easy to play hardball when you suffer no personal consequences. He's using the suffering of others to gain his way. That's the definition of hostage-taking.
