Trump's political 'crisis' over border wall may soon turn into a real one

At the White House

HOW TO MANUFACTURE A CRISIS: Partially shut down the government. Issue alarmist tweets. Hold impromptu news conferences in the Rose Garden. Neuter the bargaining power of your closest, most senior advisers. Misrepresent the facts. Publicly mull declaring a national emergency. And threaten to keep some federal employees from receiving their paycheck for months — maybe even years.

These are the ingredients of what Trump has dubbed a “national emergency” over his splashy campaign vow to build a wall along the southern border — “the material embodiment of his keep-them-out immigration agenda.” But what happens when the “crisis” gives way to a real one?

Come Jan. 11th: 800,000 federal employees will miss their first paycheck if the shutdown isn't resolved, The Post's Damian Paletta and Erica Werner report.

Starting in February: “Food stamps for 38 million low-income Americans would face severe reductions and more than $140 billion in tax refunds are at risk of being frozen or delayed if the government shutdown stretches into February, widespread disruptions that threaten to hurt the economy,” per Paletta and Werner.

GDP: “Joseph Brusuelas, chief economist at RMS U.S., an accounting and consulting firm, said a prolonged shutdown would shave an entire percentage point off the U.S.’s economic growth, in part because of an 'uncertainty tax' that would freeze spending by households and businesses,” per The Post.

Trump has brought serious harm to so many segments of the people of this country and threatens us with more if we or our REAL elected representatives dare protest his actions. How long before an actual civil war if he continues to pull the country down the road toward destruction of our values, never mind our people?

does not need Congressional approval, and is not part of the Federal budget so cannot be held hostage to tRump's temper tantrum.

since SS and Medicare is NOT part of the Federal budget and funds itself. However, the GOP 'borrowed' all of the actual money from the Social Security Administration and replaced it with Special Gov't Bonds (which they now refer to as 'worthless IOU's). What they really want to do is let Wall Street administer Social Security giving Stock Brokers all that cash to play with.

And they couldn't do it when they had control of the House, Senate, and that slum where the tRump is forced to live.

She is breaking up the government into smaller bills. One of the first bills she is going to pass in the House is to reopen the IRS so that people get their refunds on time. Does McConnell have the guts to not bring that bill up? Does Trump have the guts to veto that bill?

Speaker Pelosi has the traitors by the balls.

but she had dementia. Our family decided that skilled nursing was best for her.

Given that trump is imagining threats and is acting dangerously, I think its time to put him in a nursing home with people who can calm him down.

It's all in "The Shock Doctrine".

1. Create a national emergency. (Bundestag fire?)

2. Declare a national emergency.

3. Assume emergency powers (martial law) to address.

4. Weaken or dissolve institutions. (opposition, courts, press)

5. STEAL THE MONEY!

2002 all over again. Will this "crisis" also end up costing a trillion $$$ after Drumpf invades several Latin American countries to "stop emigration" and seize payment for his wall?
