Laugh in his face when he says it. Media pundits must laugh, uncontrollably, so much so that they cannot report the news. Our greatest threat is taking him seriously. Just laugh your asses off and ignore him.

Well, since his Chief of Staff is telling him to do it, he just might do it.

Might be the best thing to happen though. Have him get smacked in the face with reality that he cannot just make up a national emergency.

By any objective measure, the law has failed. Thirty states of emergency are in effect today—several times more than when the act was passed. Most have been renewed for years on end. And during the 40 years the law has been in place, Congress has not met even once, let alone every six months, to vote on whether to end them.
