The more people calling out Trump bullshit the better.

(86,005 posts)...that would be unfortunate.
Legislators should leave the platform to the two leaders of the Democratic party. I'm not sure what Bernie is representing here. I don't think there's a separate Dem coalition on this issue.
This is about the shutdown and any negotiations will center on those two Democrats.

(59,504 posts)At this point, we don't know what Trump will say, but we know it will be inflamatory and a lie. It may even call for emergency action. He is very likely to try to blame the Democrats for the deplorable conditions at the border.
What is most galling is that - other than the consequences of his own actions - there is NOTHING new happening there. One thing that could be pointed out is that even in the wake of 911, when people died, buildings fell and ash was in the air of much of lower Manhattan even weeks later .... and even Bush/Cheney did not do what he is proposing.

(22,913 posts)They preferred Hillary to a black man in the primary. Then they voted for a white male over Hillary in the General. In 2016 those voters preferred Bernie to a woman. Then they again voted for a white male in the General.
Those voters who gave Hilary such a strong win in the 2008 Democratic primary were never her base voters, and they are not Bernie's base voters either.

(4,965 posts)That Sanders supports voted for Clinton at a higher percentage than Clinton supporters voted for Obama. And I don't see anyone saying that Clinton is the problem? And you picked one state out of the union to prove your point.
And how does Sanders giving his address give more support to Trump?
You just aren't making a clear cogent argument other than SANDERS!!!!@21!!ARGLBARGL
Sanders isn't the problem. TRUMP is. Sanders isn't support Trump in any way shape or form. And if you point to your graphic about WV one more time and ignore all the other stuff, I have no help for you.
