We'll see hate radio and faux noise rally around Akin as the "victim" of a "rape" by the "librul media". They'll howl that what he said was taken out of context and that this is persecution of a "good xtian man" by athiestic heathen and "da gays" and that the "MSM" will complicit in this. They'll then go after Charles Jaco as an evil "librul" surely set up by the Obama campaign...even though the interview aired on a Fox teevee station.

Remember, rushpublicans NEVER show weakness...and quitting a race because of something in the "librul" media is weakness. I all but expect Akin to double down as the "mighty wurlitzer" tries to muddle the issue.

. . . not many out here who actually care about these issues of rape, abortion-rights, and women's' rights would separate his remarks from how they already perceive the actions and intentions of the republican party as a whole.

Let this be a lead weight around their necks. The Rethugs are trying so very hard to recreate 2010, but it's not going to happen. They made a Faustian deal with the willfully ignorant, bigoted teabagger "base" in order to defeat health care reform, and now it's time to give the devil his due.

The nastier and more ugly the jerk is, the harder they will fight for him and louder they will scream.
