I know this is about Jayme Closs but I can't figure out what you are saying about who challenged who about what, and what was supposedly fake news.

that she had been found in an entirely different area. Thus--fake news. Apparently by total coincidence, she escaped that same day.

and I couldn't help but notice that there is a lot of self congratulatory talk about their all their work and effort (no doubt it was huge) but really this 13 year old youngster saved herself, the police were not the ones to locate and rescue her.

This is probably the biggest thing that's happened there since Paul Bunyan flashed a dairy maid.

Regardless of how and who rescued her, law enforcement did put in a lot of work and effort. I can only imagine the relief everyone there feels.

The 21-year-old Douglas County man arrested in the kidnapping of 13-year-old Jayme Closs killed her parents because he wanted to abduct their teen-age daughter, investigators said Friday.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said Jake Thomas Patterson, who had no prior criminal record, "planned his actions and took many steps to hide his identity."

Jayme escaped from a Douglas County cabin Thursday afternoon and was found by a woman walking her dog. That woman alerted a nearby neighbor, who called 911.

Fitzgerald said Jayme has been medically cleared, is out of the hospital and is being interviewed by law enforcement.

Speaking at thronged news conference Friday morning, Fitzgerald said Patterson is being held on tentative charges of two counts of homicide and one count of kidnapping. Formal charges are expected to be filed next week.

"This was a team effort from the beginning," Fitzgerald said. "We had a singular focus to bring Jamie home."
