1. What Suprised Me About That Was How Quickly .....

the concept of a National Emergency (NE) developed after this guy posed the question. It was almost like he was a plant to ask that question. The talking heads on the cable news shows immediately began talking about a NE and saying how Trump could pull it off. They actually fleshed out calling a NE for him. This whole thing was almost like a setup.

taking action in the face of a national emergency would be clear dereliction of duty and thus non-fitness for office.

Please proceed, orange one.

3. It was Terry Moran Chief Foreign Correspondent for ABC News.

Terry Moran:

You're wrong here, Ana. My question was not "trolling." It was based on our extensive reporting inside the White House and the Trump administration. Officials tell us that they are in fact considering this option. I was seeking confirmation, not trolling. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-declaring-national-emergency-secure-wall-funding-sources/story?id=60164759

He's responding to Ana Marie Cox who said;

I know it’s fun to freak out over Trump saying stuff like “I could declare a national emergency and build the wall if I wanted to” BUT: DJT was essentially trolled into that assertion by a reporter. I am not convinced he knew that declaring a national emergency was an option!

4. That question reminded me of the movie "Wag the Dog"

The administration wanted a question asked in front of an audience so they prompted a planted journalist to ask it. I believe Terry Moran when he says he was looking for corroboration on what he was hearing. This is how they play the journalism game.

It also reminded me of when a journalist from CNN asked the freak if Mueller looked into his finances would that be crossing a red line. He essentially just agreed it would but now it's "oh he said THAT WOULD BE CROSSING A RED LINE!"

..."WHY NOT DECLARE A NATIONAL EMERGENCY??"

May have been before the above, or after. I posted here about it.

Stop giving him implicit permission to do it!

then i didn't hear her.

if she yelled it after he asked trump i was too damn stunned to hear it.

i agree: "Stop giving him implicit permission to do it! "

but i think my reaction went more along the line of: are you fucking kidding me?
