I'm betting he will not bow down to Trump. If for no other reason, to protect his historical reputation.

(23,565 posts)A lot of trumps appointed judges and other republican judges are ruling against trump's Presidential decisions in court.
I don't think they are all as bought and paid for. Of course, I might just be optimistic.

(12,344 posts)They've been very critical of Trump even to the detriment of their own careers. Roberts seems to be in that camp, though we won't know for sure until he rules in certain things.

(3,577 posts)For example, the Warren Court ruled against segregation in schools. It would be humiliating to know that future writers would say the Roberts Court upheld the policies of a deranged traitor.

(13,390 posts)He is interesting. I wonder if the seizures have influenced him in the way that disability challenged FDR's privilege? He saw the world differently after meeting people who shared his experience but didn't have the means to manage the long term effects if polio.
