President Donald Trump in the past has regularly touted polls from Rasmussen Reports, a right-leaning pollster that has traditionally found his approval rating to be much higher than all other reputable pollsters. However, the president will likely not be promoting the latest Rasmussen poll on his Twitter account any time soon.
In its daily tracking poll released Monday, Rasmussen found that Trumps approval rating has fallen all the way to 43 percent, while his disapproval rating has climbed to 55 percent. Additionally, Rasmussen found that 46 percent of voters strongly disapprove of Trumps performance, which is three points higher than his overall approval and 14 points higher than the percentage of voters who strongly approve of the job hes doing.
The latest numbers mark a significant deterioration of the presidents standing in Rasmussen polls over the last month, as Trumps approval in Rasmussen regularly touched the 50 percent mark in December 2018.
Polling aggregation website RealClearPolitics currently has Trumps average approval rating at just below 42 percent, with a disapproval rating of 55 percent. Nate Silvers FiveThirtyEight, meanwhile, gives Trump an average approval rating of just 41 percent, with a disapproval rating at 54 percent.

Never mind him shooting someone on Fifth Avenue. Hell, he could nuke several U.S. cities for the fun of it, and his numbers would "crash and burn" all the way down to 41%.

(24,259 posts)"crashing and burning" could be a bit OTT I suppose but considering who the pollster is and how extremely Republican biased they tend to be I can see how some might perceive it to be a crash and burn.
Personally I won't see it as such until the approval numbers drop drastically and stay constantly lower on Rasi. I don't trust Rasi not to manipulate, up or down, any poll numbers if it might benefit the GOP.

(648 posts)Just stop mentioning Rasmussen at all please. Unless you think his approval went up 9%.
