Jos Andrs feeding furloughed workers with temporary kitchen

Popular chef José Andrés this week is opening a temporary kitchen in Washington, D.C., to feed furloughed federal workers who aren’t getting paid amid the partial government shutdown.

The Washington City Paper reports Andrés will use one of his existing kitchens to operate the pop-up.

The kitchen will feature a menu of free sandwiches, soups and salads available to workers who present a government ID. The food is available for take out and dine-in.

The kitchen, which is located at 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, is in close proximity to several federal office buildings, making it convenient for furloughed workers to take advantage of.

Meanwhile the dotard's stuck with his McDonalds and KFC.
