In a series of tweets on Sunday, Eichenwald recalled interacting with Trump while he was a business reporter in 1987. Trump has a pattern of lying to reporters anonymously to get favorable media coverage, Eichenwald said.

each one a "favored" reporter or editor.

If a day passed when he wasn't in the news, he went through the buttons to make sure he got in the next edition. It worked on slow news days.

If you read the Village Voice, New Yorker, and a few other things, they made fun of him regularly. The Times, Herald-Tribune, WSJ... considered it undignified to give him such space.
