Reggie Bush: Trump's fast food meal for Clemson a 'huge slap in the face'

BY ARIS FOLLEY - 01/15/19 11:33 AM EST

Former NFL star Reggie Bush called President Trump’s decision to serve the national champion Clemson University Tigers fast food during their White House visit a "huge slap in the face" and "disrespectful on so many levels."

“Just when you think you’ve seen it all, @ClemsonFB you guys deserve better you are world champs and this is the honor you receive from our nations leader!?” Reggie said in the first of a series of tweets Tuesday criticizing Trump. “This is disrespectful on so many levels, just a huge slap in the face after that kind of performance! SMH!”

Bush said in another that if he resided in Washington, he “would have taken that whole team to dinner at a nice restaurant after seeing this!”

“What a joke!” he added.

There's a story out there from his first year in the White House that Trump angrily rejected a hand-made hamburger from the White House chef because "it didn't taste right" and sent a peon out to the nearest McDonalds to get a Big Mac (or two) instead. This 70+ year old, supposedly high-class know-everything, supposed billionaire actually prefers fast food to fresh food.

Trump "had a longtime fear of being poisoned, one reason why he liked to eat at McDonald's — nobody knew he was coming and the food was safely premade," Wolff reports.

Last year's Alabama champions didn't get their invite until April. What was the big fat hurry to get the Clemson team there just a week later?

I have a guess about that. It starts with "defl" and ends with "ection."

not just the fact that they were served cheap fast food, but also that Trump bragged about how he “paid”. If someone invited me to dinner and then tweeted that he paid, I would regret ever having accepted the invitation. When you pay for someone’s dinner, you make as small a deal of it as possible. You try to make the person forget about who paid, and you focus on what a good time you had.

If it was everyone’s favorite why didn’t they?
Because it was cold and gross and they knew it.
Pizza might have been fine but cold burgers and fries yuck.
Is that salads in the clear containers? Maybe ok?
I don’t see no Taco Bell just Big Macs ( I heard also wendy’s And Burger King )
To bad the players didn’t say after his speech “yes and after this meal we know who we are going to support” leaving trump to think him when they would mean Dems.

This is not only an insult on the team, this is an insult on the country. He may poo in a golden water closet, but he has the same class as what he deposits in it.

I guess we should be glad he didn't serve watermelon. I'm serious. Trump's knowledge and familiarity with people of color (of which the group has a large membership) is minimal and restricted to what he's heard from his white nationalist pals.

Remember when O'Lielly was surprised that blacks used utensils, when he had gone to a primarily black restaurant once? I kid you not.
