Am I alone? I haven't bought in to all the "he's going down this week" stuff on here, but after the past few days I really feel like something very sinister is getting really close. He feels the heat big time and that is dangerous.

(16,132 posts)he'll have Barr who can end the entire Mueller investigation and protect him.
He believes that the AG is the personal lawyer to any Republican president.

(4,268 posts)Lot more damage to be done to the US and our allies still. The new future AG will definitely complicate things.
He's not going down anytime soon imo. Obviously I hope I'm wrong. At this point I'm rooting for cholesterol as well if you know what I mean.

(25,111 posts)compassion, loyalty, caring, selfless motives, he just doesn't care about anybody or anything. He sees himself as always right, his way is the only way. He's greedy and enjoys power, especially power over anyone who disagrees with him.
He is vulnerable right now, and the thought of losing and subsequently being removed from a "cushion" environment . .
Yeah, he's scared. And therefore, I tend to agree with you. Maybe not this week, he's hoping that unqualified Barr to save him.

(12,265 posts)I turned to him and said, doesn't this feel different somehow? He agreed, he said he feels strongly as I do that this is going to come to an end soon. Barr may postpone it, but I think Mueller has so much on him and his family, plus the SDNY attorneys it is going to happen. The longer he holes himself up in the White House with his KFC and his TV the more likely it is coming to a head.

(2,002 posts)First, its clear there will be only one more round of indictments. All the important folks will be indicted, including family and aides. Its all been intentionally saved for the end so Donald or whoever is AG can't do a single thing once the indictments are unsealed. Do you not think they already planned for the "what if" there is a different AG? Of course they have. Barr wont affect this one bit.
Secondly, I assure you there are already sealed indictments with Donald's name on them, at least at the State level. Its my belief NYAG gas "agreed", for the moment, to not unseal the indictments and arrest him yet. The indictments are being held as a "trump card", or until he's no longer President.
I know people are pessimistic about all this, but Mueller and his team are pros and have planned for contingencies all along, and I assure you, they have this all set up so that Donald or whoever he installs at AG can't affect the outcome. I'll point this out again: Remember how fast they had charges on Manaforte for the financial crimes? Those are very easy to prove, and you can BE CERTAIN, they already have similar charges lined up from their review of various Trump-related accounts and transactions. There is no way they don't have sealed indictments already for various Trumps. Its obvious they aren't going to "spring" these until the bulk of the investigation is over.
