Saw about as many racists in southern Illinois as in Oklahoma. Saw a lot of supporters of the U of I "chief" mascot - which was a white guy prancing around like the cliche of an Indian dancing - who were racist in that instance yet voted for Obama. Point is, you can't make blanket judgments like you have. Oklahoma is not a southern state but a border state, with the southeastern part like Arkansas, the southern like Texas and the northern part more like Kansas and you have the Native American contributions - with all the historical and societal influences you would expect. After the Civil War thousands of free blacks migrated there from the south and started small communities like Boley. Of course there was also overt racism like sundown towns in the state and the terrible Tulsa "riot" that was actually whites rampaging and killing blacks. Those same type of murderous riots also took place in northern cities in that time period.

Town I grew up in had more than its share of racists but elected a black mayor in the 80s. There are good people there, you just have to look for them.

The civil unrest could be very bad, and they may even get what they want through a resulting "national emergency." The scale of violence could be enough that people will be frightened into accepting it, which is something that has happened in other countries.

It's also possible that union will break up. Unlike the last break-up most of us will be happy to see the other half go.

Our civil war will much more resemble those civil wars. It will be a house to house cleansing of the “libtards” I suspect. It will be localized at first, likely in response to some issue. First there's no evidence that a bunch of angry armed individuals are going to engage in any significant violence that couldn't be contained by local police (question: what is it you imagine they're going to do: march on Washington? Take Congress hostage?). Second, there's definitely no evidence that the military would join them, and civil authorities are far better armed and trained.

They don't care who hears them, they feel so strongly that if Trump is removed they will revolt. They are all heavily armed. Maybe this is stilly, but it is frightening.

I heard on of them calling an impeachment “regicide” and saying it would be time to use the “2nd amendment” option.

I live down "here" too. You might get 20 of them doing something stupid. Like someone suggested, if some actual military outfit went nuts, they'd have a chance of making a fuss.
