(86,670 posts)they did not say it was untrue. Inaccurate is different from untrue and many analyses are taking it as the SC distancing itself without claiming they are not telling the truth.
I would think it could be just that they wish to vaguely indicate they are not the source for this story. It could be SDNY, as many are speculating, the source instead.
There are so many tentacles to this crime organization.

This idiot (Leopold) has done more in a single day to legitimize Trump's "fake news" assault upon our press than he himself has managed to achieve in over two years combined.
