(54,770 posts)Maybe we better re-evaluate the feeling many of us have at times -- including me -- whether Mueller wakes up every morning with the goal of busting trump.

(3,573 posts)...but maybe ensuring accuracy in SOME reporting.
From what I heard, Mueller didn't state that the report was wrong but some part of it might not be accurate... what part is that is not clear.
It could as simple as a simple word in what was reported... something material, but it could be just a single word.
I want Tiny gone, not only gone but in jail,...but based on truth.

(4,484 posts)Good or bad.
I think he saw something that wasn't true, in whole or in part, and corrected the record.
One thing Trumpers can never claim again is that Mueller is just a witch hunt out to destroy Trump at all cost. If anything, this shows Mueller is simply out for the truth.

(5,270 posts)Buzzfeed claimed their sources said that SC office had Trump Org witnesses, emails etc corroborating that Trump wanted Cohen to lie to Congress. SC is not denying that Cohen claimed Trump pushed Cohen to lie to Congress, but that Buzzfeed incorrectly reported that SC had all kinds of evidence that Trump asked Cohen to lie to Congress.
Mueller's sentencing memos on Cohen and Cohen's court statements show that Trump had made it clear during campaign that he and Cohen and others should deny that they were pursuing any business with Russia after January 2016, which was a lie. Cohen informed WH and Trump's lawyers as to content of false testimony he was to give Congress. Trump would have known Cohen was lying and allowed him to lie to Congress but the lawyers would not have known Cohen was lying. Trump may not have specifically ordered Cohen to lie to Congress but he had already made it clear during campaign that everyone was supposed to deny Russia dealmaking after January 2016.
