I agree with her. These people taint the movement and their racism should not go unaddressed.

I walked away from the Womens March on Washington two years ago absolutely electrified by the promise of what a movement built around sisterhood and solidarity could accomplish.
Today, sadly, I must walk away from the national Womens March organization, and specifically its leadership.
While I still firmly believe in its values and mission, I cannot associate with the national marchs leaders and principles, which refuse to completely repudiate anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry. I cannot walk shoulder to shoulder with leaders who lock arms with outspoken peddlers of hate.

(42,340 posts)The 2017 Womens March in DC was a highlight of my life. But, I never even got close to where the speakers were - didn't know who was speaking, didn't hear any of them, didn't know who organized it, didn't care.
It was about the masses of people - all ages, all skin tones, families - gathering together in solidarity against the corrupt buffoon in the WH and his Republican toadies.
