I just got my 2019 Republican National Committee membership card.

It came in an envelope with President Donald J. Trump as the return address. The envelope and all enclosures have this ugly ass eagle on it and trimmed in a color that is a little too brown to be called maroon. I was requested to make my personal check payable to RNC or to pay online at GOP.com

I assure you that I have never donated to a Republican candidate, the Republican Party, or to the fucker sitting in our White House. I reside in an area that is heavily Democratic. Possible guesses why I got this:
1. It's a scam and RNC is actually the initials of some guy named Richard (he's got to be a Dick).
2. It's a scam from the real RNC and they need money desperately and just did direct mail to everyone and anyone.
3. ???

I'd love to know if anyone else got this.

I plan to toss everything in the recycling bin but will tear it up first. Don't want anyone thinking that I support the RNC or the fucker residing in our WH!

Stuff all that shit in it and send it back.

Makes the transaction a money loser twice. Sure it's pennies, but it's the opportunity you have.

With luck it will confuse them enough to send you more mailings which you can continue to send all the paper back to the RNC. Their post charges, their garbage bill.

It could add up to scores of cents, Bwahaha

6. I hope you tear it all up into little bits before stuffing it back into the envelope.

Maybe add a little extra weight to it to run up the postage.

including, of course, a donation request.

They even came with an official registration number and a request to send them back by a given date. I had all kinds of ideas about what to do with them, but decided to not waste my time. Recycle bin, although maybe they should have gone in the trash.

4. I get emails every day, several of them, to "renew" my membership.

You know, because Pelosi/impeachment/wall.

In fact, I'll go check to see what arrived overnight.

EDIT: Yep, that didn't take long. First up, from Rob J., "reaching out again" to support "common sense conservative solutions" and "taking a stand against obstructionist Democrats and their radical liberal agenda." They didn't hit me up for money this time, but there's an Activate Membership button that want me to click on...lol.

I worked the processing line where we handled the returned payments from customers/clients. I too, have rec'd this requests for GOP donations and I live in a heavily democratic area. Besides, rump is rich, why would he, as a so called billionaire need the money? Tell him to ask his buddy Putin for the money again.

Like most that ask for money on a huge scale, they have all of the returned envelopes going to a processing agent who has machines setup to slice the sides of each returned envelope open, and the returned slips with their checks are handled by personnel who are not even related to the GOP in any way, shape or manner (a bunch of clerks, sitting in a row of such machines, and probably working at very minimal pay too). They handle these by the thousands per hour, and if something is different (metal coins etc.), they simply just throw it aside (at the rate of a hundred or so of these per minute), and don't even give it a second glance.

You have to probably even put postage on these too. Your best bet to totally ignore / burn these requests, and donate the postage savings to your next democratic candidate in your area.
