It's not "tit for tat" - it's called CHECKS & BALANCES. Congress is trying to police a president

who is ABUSING the powers of the presidency.

I am disgusted with PBS Newshour's David Brooks, and Judy Woodruff who lets him drone on unchallenged, and the rest of the media who are spreading disinformation with such ease.

they create the illusion that they are reporting important news, or that their panel discussions are civilized. It's the worst kind of propaganda.

...and as far as I can tell all of them are even older and need to retire.

As long as Gwen Ifill was still alive, the PBS News still had juice, albeit of a calm and measured sort sadly lacking in the world of talking heads today. Her untimely death left a gaping hole that has never been filled. Poor Judy Woodruff is completely out of energy and so are Shields and Brooks. They don't challenge each other, ever. They don't challenge statements out of Washington that should be challenged, vigorously.

I'm distressed -- my husband still watches their Friday show, but I finally gave up last year.

I know dems who are posting cartoons/articles depicting a 'both sides are responsible for the shutdown' message. We must respond when we see this or that narrative will start to take over. People are lazy thinkers & a lot of them are mis/un-informed. This morning on DU there is a thread about a report that found a huge number of voters didn't know that Trump came from a wealthy family.
